Male and female are created in Genesis 1:27 with no distinction of race, work, or ability. The world, still reeling from the effects of Babel, continues to separate people and into tribes. Our value belongs to the sovereignty of God, who formed and knew us even from the womb. Though the sin of Adam reigns in our mortal bodies, still the image of God is not lost on any human. Sanctity relies not on our ability, viability, or morality, but on God’s sovereignty.
